Our outworld
We've been working on a few different outworlds lately.
We've been focusing on something a little larger designed for Australia's larger Myrmecia species. We've also been looking at ways to keep live plants without encouraging mould or the ant colony moving into the outworld.
Above is a photo of the latest design. In the middle of the shelves you can see a slightly larger outworld that is connected to a nest on the shelf above and to the left via flexible hose. It contains natural materials along with a couple of live plants that are watered externally. It's just a sneak peek of the design before we publish a DIY article.
