A Great Formicarium From Jakub Golonka
Here's a terrific example of a great formicarium from Jakub Golonka.
The outworld up top is in pristine condition as he's just moved his ants in. It utilizes faux materials to keep things sterile.
Down below is a unique nest area constructed from acrylic that is divided into sections. The ants access the outworld via two sets of flexible tubing at the back of the formicarium.
The nest area is lit by red LED's so that it's possible to view the ants without disturbing them too much.
Jakub has told us that he estimates colonies numbers are 500 plus.
